I do it occasionally. I think they have arrangement with 'The
Guardian' so there must be many others who are solving the same
crossword but in different time & space perhaps.

Yes, the crossword that ET publishes is reproduced from the Daily Mail.

In point of fact, this used to be published in the Times of India on weekdays. Some years ago it was shifted to EY for reasons best known to the paper.

The ToI now publishes a US-syndicated synonymic puzzle in such a small text box with so small a font size for the clues that it is well-nigh impossible to put pen to paper.

OK, the Daily Mail puzzle that the ET publishes is from a stock of a few thousands that they just repeat every so many years. Groups of solvers devotedly solving the puzzle in online groups found this and (thanks to present-day tech possibilities) they can say which puz was printed when earlier.

I am afraid it is not quite correct to say that the Economic Times is "the only nationwide daily". Some sort of attribution, some sort of qualification is needed!

I do solve it daily and invariably complete it also.
